Major Developments on Constitutional Carry!

BOOOOOOM!

We’ve had major developments on Constitutional Carry today here in Atlanta, and this is all happening because of GGO nation!

As you may remember, there are two versions of Constitutional Carry on the move here in Atlanta. The Senate passed SB-319 last month, while the House passed a slightly weaker version of Constitutional Carry, HB-1358, several weeks ago.

But earlier today, Senate Judiciary Chairman Brian Strickland stepped up to the plate and ran an amendment in committee and replaced the weaker language of HB-1358 with the stronger language found in SB-319!

HB-1358 now goes to the Senate Rules Committee for approval, before it can receive a final vote on the Senate floor. We’ll have an action link on that down below.

At the same time, Georgia Gun Owners has been in a pitched battle with Speaker David Ralston and Public Safety Chairman J. Collins after they told us they WOULD NOT move SB-319 in the House.

So over the last few days, thousands of GGO members have been calling and texting Ralston and Collins demanding that they stop blocking SB-319 and MOVE THE DAMN BILL!

Chairman Collins wasn’t very happy with this and confronted our Political Director, Alex Dorr, in the legislature today. But we aren’t very happy with Collins, and we made sure he knew that his phone was going to glow red until he moved SB-319.

And so it gives me great pleasure to tell you that Collins buckled under the pressure of GGO nation earlier this afternoon and called up SB-319 in his committee for a vote!

Of course, Collins and Ralston are bitter that we forced their hand, and so Collins amended SB-319 with the language of HB-1358. In effect, they did the exact same thing to the Senate bill, that we had the Senate do to the House bill.

As things stand right now, the House Rules Committee needs to advance SB-319 while the Senate Rules Committee needs to advance HB-1358. And we can’t afford to have either committee weaken the bill!

So I need everyone in GGO nation to fire off TWO PRE-WRITTEN EMAILS right now. One goes to the Senate committee, and one goes to the House. Just hit the red button below and hit send!

<<< EMAIL THE SENATE RULES COMMITTEE HERE! >>>

This must happen fast. Session will be over a week from today and we still need to get through committees and floor action on one or both of these bills.

If the constant back and forth of this process has you confused and a little frustrated, understand this is intentional. These arrogant politicians love looking down their noses and trying to pretend that they are smarter than us ‘little’ people.

But make no mistake, GGO nation is bigger, and nastier than any politician in Atlanta. And the reality is that these politicians are terrified of the consequences of failing to pass this bill.

So hit the links above, and fire off your emails. It’s an automated process and we’ve done all the work for you. Take action!
