Will Brian Kemp sign Constitutional Carry into law?
Georgia Gun Owners has been asked that question hundreds of times since we rammed the bill (SB-319) through the General Assembly almost a week ago.
But even though Constitutional Carry was the HOTTEST issue in Atlanta this session — and even though it passed by an overwhelming majority in both chambers — Brian Kemp has taken no action on this bill!
Other ‘red state’ Governors rushed to sign Constitutional Carry into law when given the chance. For example, the very first bill that South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem signed into law was Constitutional Carry.
In 2019, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt signed Constitutional Carry TWO HOURS after it passed the legislature! Last month, Alabama Governor Kay Ivy signed Constitutional Carry into law just FOUR HOURS after it passed!
These Governors knew something that Brian Kemp doesn’t: dragging this fight out a moment longer than necessary only gives time for Bloomberg, the media, and the DNC to mobilize pressure against Constitutional Carry!

And that’s exactly what is happening.
The Democratic Party of Georgia is out with their first ad slamming Constitutional Carry — saying the bill is anti-law enforcement — and urging Kemp to veto it.
Of course, the media here in Georgia is doing the same thing, running stories and editorials against the bill every day. And Bloomberg’s team is running digital and text-based campaigns urging Kemp to veto SB-319, too!
And given the weakness that gun owners have seen out of Brian Kemp over the years, right now we can’t take anything for granted when it comes to Constitutional Carry.

If Brian Kemp keeps his four-year-old promise to Georgia Gun Owners and signs Constitutional Carry into law, this is what it means for law-abiding gun owners here in Georgia:

>>> You’ll no longer be required to pay a tax on your Constitutional right to carry a firearm for self-defense.
>>> You’ll no longer be required to wait precious time for the government to agree to let you carry a firearm for self-defense. This is a life-or-death situation for some, especially women.
But these benefits will only become a reality if Brian Kemp mans up and signs Senate Bill 319 into law! Make sure he knows that you want him to do it RIGHT AWAY!

P.S. It’s been almost a week since GGO members rammed Constitutional Carry through the Georgia legislature, and Brian Kemp has still not signed it!
Most other red state Governors signed this bill within hours of receiving it from the legislature. By not doing that, Kemp is giving the gun control crowd all the time they need to mobilize their supporters against it!
