Session is coming fast in Atlanta.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over all my years fighting for gun rights in Atlanta, it’s that the most dangerous gun control bills are not always the loud ones.

They’re the bills that are sold as “reasonable.”
They’re the bills dressed up as “safety.”
They’re the bills designed to garner RINO support.

That’s exactly what HB-1 is.

With Georgia Republicans failing to pass a single pro-gun bill for years, Democrats are testing a new strategy — pushing gun control they believe RINOs and scared Republicans might accept.

HB-1 is their opening move.

This bill is being sold as a “safe storage” law. But that’s just a ruse. HB-1 would force us to lock up our guns 24 hours a day, leaving us vulnerable to violent predators.

Here’s what HB-1 is designed to do:

— Orders us to lock up our guns, with almost no exceptions. If that gets you or your family killed, the Dems are ok with that.

— Allows liberal prosecutors to drag us into jail if our guns were accessible in our homes.

— Conditions Georgians to accept state control over firearms inside of our own home.

This has nothing to do with stopping the criminals who are shooting up Atlanta, Brunswick, Savannah and the rest of our cities.

Criminals don’t follow storage laws.
Criminals don’t secure firearms.
Criminals don’t ask permission.

HB-1 targets law-abiding Georgians, not violent criminals.

And it’s especially dangerous because it creates a false sense of safety — while making it harder for families, women, and seniors to access a firearm when they actually need it.

And with the Georgia GOP leadership showing no spine and no urgency, Democrats believe this bill can move if gun owners stay quiet. That’s why we are acting now — before session begins.
