As you know, session ended Friday, and while we were betrayed in Atlanta by House Republicans, we’ll have more on that soon.
First we want to tell everyone in GGO Nation that gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson surveyed 100% pro-gun with Georgia Gun Owners last week!
With the May 19 primary coming fast, gun owners are asking the obvious question: who can we trust to fight for us?
That’s exactly why Georgia Gun Owners exists — to give you the information you need to make an informed decision about candidates.
And that begins with getting all the candidates on the record, using our candidate survey program.
GGO recently mailed out over 500 surveys to candidates running for the legislature, AG, Congress, and, of course, in the race to become our next governor.
In this 2026 primary cycle, Rick Jackson was the first gubernatorial candidate to complete the survey. And it wasn’t done with auto-pen, folks. Jackson did it in person at GGO’s office in Winder.

Our team walked through the gun control bills we’re fighting to stop and the pro-gun legislation we’re working on. Then we asked Rick Jackson to take a stand and put his views on gun rights in writing.
Jackson didn’t hesitate. He answered each question perfectly. You can see the survey yourself and his answers by going here.

Rick Jackson has pledged to fight back against the Radical Left’s agenda, veto any ‘Red Flag’ gun confiscation schemes, and stop deadly safe storage laws before they ever reach his desk.
He has also committed to signing pro-gun legislation like SB-572 — the Enhanced ‘Stand-Your-Ground’ bill that Georgia Gun Owners fought so hard to pass this year.
GGO is happy to acknowledge Rick Jackson’s 100% pro-gun candidate survey. The question is, will the other candidates follow suit?
Will Burt Jones, Brad Raffensperger, and Chris Carr complete their surveys — or will their consultants tell them to deflect?
Every chance you get, you should ask these candidates if they have signed their GGO Gun Rights Candidate Survey.
Of course, GGO will be asking them too, and reporting back to you with what we learn.
It’s clear that Georgia remains at a crossroads. Are Republicans going to continue to try to farm gun owners for votes and deliver no policy wins? Or are they going to fight for us?
