We’ve got a big update for GGO Nation in the race for Governor.
Over the last two weeks, Georgia Gun Owners has been pressing every candidate in this race to complete our Gun Rights Candidate Survey and go on record. Here’s the latest.
Lt. Governor Burt Jones has recently completed his candidate survey with Georgia Gun Owners — and it was 100% pro-gun.
This means that Rick Jackson, Brad Raffensperger, and Burt Jones have all completed their GGO candidate surveys.

(Rick Jackson, Brad Raffensperger, and Burt Jones have surveyed pro-gun with Georgia Gun Owners. Chris Carr refused!)
But the timeline matters.
As you know, Rick Jackson was the first candidate to step up and complete the survey, and he did it without hesitation. He didn’t wait for other candidates to pressure him.
After we told hundreds of thousands of gun owners about Rick Jackson’s 100% survey through our email, text, and digital program, Brad Raffensperger completed his survey.
But for weeks, Burt Jones told us he would not survey.
But after watching Jackson step up, and after watching Raffensperger follow suit, Burt Jones submitted his completed survey just 1 hour and 22 minutes before the deadline.
Was Burt Jones sincere when he surveyed?
Did he do it just because he had to?
We can’t answer that. That’s a decision every gun owner will have to make.

But this all highlights the importance of GGO’s candidate survey program. Virtually every candidate claims to be pro-gun in a primary.
They say the right things, give speeches, and send mailers. But when it comes time to put their views in writing — where gun owners can hold them accountable — that’s when some candidates show their true colors.
And that’s happening right now with Chris Carr.

You see, Chris Carr is refusing to answer his gun rights survey. And gun owners should be very alarmed about this. When a candidate hides his views on gun rights, how can we trust him?
But even without this survey, we know a lot about Carr.
And a pattern has emerged.
Chris Carr refused to sue the City of Savannah, where the mayor was passing local gun control laws. He only signed a weak amicus brief after another organization sued instead.
Chris Carr refused to sue the Biden Administration to stop Biden’s four-year war against our gun rights. He merely added his name when other states filed the suit.
Chris Carr refused to fight for the constitutional right of 18-20-year-old Georgians to get a carry permit. Instead, Carr fought like hell to stop them in the State Supreme Court.Â
So it’s no surprise that Chris Carr won’t answer his gun rights candidate survey — he has never lifted a finger for gun owners, despite what he’s claiming on social media today.
If you see Chris Carr at a campaign event, ask him why he didn’t fight for us at Attorney General. Ask him why he won’t sign the GGO candidate survey. Ask him what he’s hiding.
Georgia is at a turning point.
We can either demand accountability from the people asking for our votes, or we can let politicians tell us what we want to hear and then do whatever they want once they’re in office.
Georgia Gun Owners is going to keep pressing every candidate in this race and reporting back to you with the truth.
HELP GGO EXPOSE RINOS IN THE PRIMARY!
GGO will be releasing videos on races from all over the state very soon.

P.S. Rick Jackson led the way, the first to answer his GGO candidate survey 100% pro-gun. Brad Raffensperger followed suit a week later. And now Burt Jones surveyed too — after initially refusing.
Chris Carr still refuses to go on record. Gun owners should be asking why, especially in light of Chris Carr’s record.
